April Madsen is a dedicated North Dakota educator with more than 20 years of experience serving students, families, and communities. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Minot State University.
Throughout her career, April has taught fourth- and fifth-grade students as well as served in K–12 special education. She is passionate about helping all students reach their full potential through meaningful learning experiences, strong relationships, and a commitment to student success.
April is married to Jesse Madsen and is the proud mother of Savanna (Bode), Ava, Jack, Alaynna, and Jett. She is also a proud grandmother to Vienna. Outside of education, she enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her community, and celebrating the accomplishments of those around her.

Reminder: workouts start June 1st at the Grenora School. This is a program designed by Sanford Sports out of Bismarck. It is specifically built for middle school athletes. A great opportunity to improve our athletes' athletic ability in these young athletes.
The first grade class learned about community economics during social studies. After learning about wants/needs, goods/services, producers/consumers, supply/demand, and money choices, the students traveled around town to the local businesses to learn more about our community. Here are a handful of fun photos showing their excitement! Thank you to all the local businesses that allowed our students to visit!
