We enjoyed welcoming administrators from the Williston CTE program to Grenora to discuss future opportunities for our students. Our conversations focused on collaboration, course offerings, scheduling flexibility, and providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences aligned with students’ interests and career goals. We look forward to their upcoming visits with our Board, students, and parents as we work together to expand opportunities and prepare students for success beyond high school!

Today, we welcomed InterQuest Detection Canines for a schoolwide classroom and facility inspection, followed by an educational assembly for students in grades 5–12. The visit provided an opportunity to reinforce the importance of making positive choices, maintaining a drug-free environment, and keeping our school safe. We appreciate InterQuest Detection Canines for their professionalism and commitment to student safety and education.

PTO Penny Wars starts Monday!

Get ready for some friendly competition! Each participating staff member or class sponsor will have a jar in the main lobby. Pennies add points to your jar, while silver coins and bills can be used to subtract points from another jar.

1st Place: Pizza Party
2nd Place: Donuts
3rd Place: Ice Cream

Jars will be available each morning from 8:00–8:30 AM, and daily totals will be announced.
Penny Wars runs October 12–21. Start saving those pennies and get ready for the competition!

Work is underway on our new playground fence. Another step toward improving our facilities and creating a safer environment for our students. Excited to see the progress!

4 H Fundraiser

We were excited to welcome Hannah Johnson to Grenora Public School as a guest speaker for our Business Fundamentals class!

Hannah shared her experiences from college, internships, and her professional career, giving our students a firsthand look at marketing, leadership, and opportunities in the business world. It is always meaningful for students to hear from someone with local roots who has taken what they learned and turned it into real world experience.

A special thank you to Mrs. Paine for organizing this opportunity and bringing a homegrown success story into the classroom. Experiences like this help our students connect what they are learning today with the possibilities ahead of them.

Dear Grenora Families, We would like to remind all students and families that vaping and electronic smoking devices are strictly prohibited at Grenora Public School. Our student handbook prohibits the use or possession of electronic smoking devices on school grounds and at school sponsored events. Students found possessing or using a vape or electronic smoking device will be subject to disciplinary consequences. Please take a few minutes to talk with your child about this expectation. Vaping continues to be a concern for schools, and we want to work together with families to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students. Thank you for your support and partnership.
